Portuguese Chicken Seasoning (Pack of 3)
When you want all the flavor of takeout chicken without all the sodium, reach for this medium-spicy rub, packed with citrus, garlic, chili, and punchy herbs. Just add water and a splash of oil to the seasoning blend and cook a whole chicken in the microwave in 20 minutes—or pop it in the oven.
Our Portuguese Chicken rivals Nando’s (the popular chicken chain) but our blend has less heat, and is low in sodium and sugar.
Prep tips:
- As the chicken cooks, the rub seeps into the chicken and drips down the bottom of your steamer along with all the chicken juices to create a wonderful dipping sauce/gravy. Hot tip: You get more juices cooking in the microwave!
- Works well with chicken pieces—coat and roast in the oven on a Sheet Pan.
- Great seasoning for tofu or roasted potatoes.
- Mix blend with melted butter and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Drizzle over roasted or steamed fish fillets, shrimp, or crab.
